The Starhotels portfolio now includes Ollina D’Oro Resort & SPA

The Swiss resort and Italy’s top hotel chain have reached an agreement to increase Starhotels’ global footprint in the upscale resort and wellness market.

The Collina d’Oro Resort & SPA has been added to the repertoire of Starhotels Collezione. With this addition, which came about as a result of a business deal, Starhotels strengthens its position in the global luxury market by selecting a location that embodies peace, harmony, and stunning scenery—the perfect getaway for people looking for a restorative experience away from the bustle and noise of daily life.

Elisabetta Fabri, President and CEO of Starhotels, states, “We are thrilled to bring Starhotels to Switzerland for the first time through this new commercial agreement.” “This project strengthens our knowledge of upscale hospitality and validates Starhotels’ position as a premier centre for excellence, drawing properties looking for a strong, competent, and trustworthy growth partner.” By utilising the skills we have acquired over years of experience in both domestic and foreign markets, it offers us a chance to demonstrate our strengths outside of the areas in which we have historically excelled.

The 44 rooms on the property, including 28 suites, are all flooded with natural light from wide windows that complement their subtle yet elegant decor. A restaurant that celebrates Mediterranean cuisine with a modern twist, a fitness centre, and a 1,000 square metre spa round out the experience.

Marcello Forti, CEO of H-Food, the company behind HCH SA, which oversees Collina d’Oro Resort, states, “I am especially happy to renew my collaboration with Elisabetta Fabri, whom I have known and admired for many years, and with the entire Starhotels Group, an Italian excellence that has turned quality, style, and hospitality into a true cultural heritage.” Our shared principles with H-Food include meticulousness, traditionalism, creativity, and a sincere love for the visitor experience. We are certain that our collaboration will create a modern luxury project that blends experience, tradition, and fresh global viewpoints, enhancing the appeal of a famous property in a distinctive setting like Lugano.

As part of the deal, Starhotels will assist the resort with marketing and communication, sales and promotional activities, revenue management plans, and the integration of its booking system and the I AM STAR loyalty program. In complete accordance with the requirements of the Starhotels Collezione brand, the resort will continue to operate independently and retain its identity.
