Gaurav Bhatura appointed Director of Aviation, India, at Discover the World.
In order to bolster its leadership team and increase airline participation and aviation focused business initiatives in the sector, Discover the World India appointed Gaurav Bhatura as Director Aviation, India.
Bhatura will be in charge of overseeing airline representation, business development and market expansion strategies for Discover the World and its airline clients in India. Bhatura has nearly 25 years of experience in international airlines, airport marketing, aviation regulatory affairs and commercial leadership.
Bhatura oversaw a nationwide team and significantly increased sales at Balmer Lawrie as Vice President and Business Head before joining Discover the World. Additionally, he served as Thai Smile Airways’ Country Head and Director, where he successfully established operations at seven Indian gateways.
In addition to having vast expertise representing airlines in several areas, his professional background includes top leadership positions with InterGlobe, GMR DIAL, Singapore Airlines and KLM.
Bhatura, an alumni of IIM Lucknow, is well known in the industry for fostering solid commercial alliances and facilitating airline companies’ successful market entry and long term expansion in India.
