DAE leases two ATR 72-600 aircraft to FLY91 for regional network expansion.

The fleet strength of FLY91 will rise to six with the addition of these aircraft. The expansion is in line with the airline’s plan to improve regional air connections and increase connectivity throughout India’s tier-2 and tier-3 cities.
In a major step towards its intended network expansion, Indian pure-play regional airline FLY91 has leased two ATR 72-600 turboprop aircraft from Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE), a worldwide aviation services business with headquarters in the United Arab Emirates.
Later this month, ATR’s Toulouse, France, manufacturing facility is expected to deliver the two new aircraft. After introduction, FLY91 will expand operations to Hubballi (Karnataka), Vijayawada and Rajahmundry (Andhra Pradesh), Nanded (Maharashtra), and Dabolim (Goa), as well as boost capacity and frequencies along its current routes.
Manoj Chacko, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of FLY91, stated, “This transaction reinforces our commitment to building a resilient and scalable regional airline through measured growth. Our operational philosophy is based on the ATR 72-600, which provides the best possible blend of performance, dependability, and efficiency for short-haul regional operations. We can grow our fleet while upholding capital efficiency and cost restraint by repartnering with DAE.” With its demonstrated turboprop economics, quick takeoff and landing times, and performance best suited for operations at secondary and underserved airports, the ATR 72-600 continues to be the mainstay of FLY91’s fleet plan.
Since starting commercial operations in March 2024, FLY91 has progressively developed a regional network that links Goa’s Manohar International Airport to major cities like Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Pune as well as up and coming regional hubs like Sindhudurg. These destinations include Solapur, Jalgaon, and Agatti (Lakshadweep Islands).
