A three-city roadshow in India is organised by Visit Qatar.

In January 2026, Visit Qatar successfully wrapped up its three-city India roadshow, highlighting India’s status as a priority source market and a major factor in Qatar’s ongoing travel momentum. The roadshow, which took place in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Kolkata, involved top travel industry partners in three strategically important Indian cities.
The January 2026 roadshow concentrated on fortifying trade ties and bolstering Qatar’s standing as a versatile, short-haul destination of choice, appropriate for a variety of Indian traveler segments, as outbound demand from India continues to evolve across leisure, luxury, wellness, and experiential travel.
With 18 partners, including luxury hotels and resorts, wellness retreats, DMCs, and travel service providers like Al Messila Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Doha; Ali Bin Ali Holidays; Banyan Tree Doha; Experience Qatar; Hilton Salwa Beach Resort & Villas; Le Royal Méridien; Mannai Travel W.L.L; Maps & Vogs; Musafir.com; Regency; Tawfeeq Holidays; The Grand Lux; The Outpost Al Barrari; The St. Regis Marsa Arabia Island, The Pearl-Qatar; The Westin Doha Hotel & Spa; TravCo; Travel Designer; and Zulal Wellness Resort, the roadshow showcased Qatar’s varied tourism landscape. Together, the partners demonstrated the variety of experiences that can be found in Qatar, including beachside resorts, opulent urban hotels, immersive cultural districts, desert landscapes, and wellness retreats that are all conveniently close to one another.
“India is a priority market for Qatar,” stated Eng. Abdulaziz Ali Al-Mawlawi, CEO of Visit Qatar. Trade, culture, and tourism are just a few of the long-standing connections between our two nations that are only getting stronger. Our goal is to make sure Indian tourists are completely aware of the variety and depth of experiences that Qatar has to offer.
More than 430,000 Indian tourists visited Qatar in 2025 thanks to the country’s excellent aviation infrastructure, which includes numerous daily flights connecting major Indian cities with Doha. This accessibility has supported the steady increase in demand for travel and strengthened Qatar’s standing as a practical and alluring location for Indian tourists.
Long-term cooperation between the travel, commerce, and hospitality sectors including strategic alliances with top trade associations like the NMACC continues to shape travel trends between the two markets. These collaborations allow for constant interaction with the Indian market, customised travel offerings, and targeted destination marketing.
“Tourists today are looking for destinations that combine accessibility with diverse, high-quality experiences,” Eng. Al-Mawlawi continued. Qatar’s blend of culture, heritage, luxury, wellness, food, events, and family-friendly attractions satisfies this need. Our tight collaboration with Indian travel experts enables us to offer useful resources and itinerary-driven assistance that create memorable experiences, and this strategy will continue to direct our interactions with the market.
India’s position as a priority market with significant long-term potential is reinforced by Qatar’s all encompassing tourism strategy, which perfectly complements the country’s advantages in the areas of luxury, wellness, weddings, milestone celebrations, and incentive travel.
In order to prioritise meaningful interaction with the travel industry and draw attention to current market realities, traveller expectations, and Qatar’s changing product offers, the three city India roadshow was planned as a carefully curated engagement. Discussions aimed at assisting travel agencies present Qatar as more than a stopover or short break location so that their customers may enjoy customised itineraries for various travel preferences, trip durations, and budgets.
Visit Qatar’s involvement in India, which is far into 2026, is still based on establishing lasting connections, conveying consistent stories, and developing together with travel industry experts. Building on the exciting schedule of more than 600 cultural, sporting, entertainment, and business events held in Qatar in 2025, the 2026 roadshow established a clear tone for the upcoming year and strengthened Qatar’s standing as a travel destination that offers all visitors year round experiences, depth, variety, and ease of travel.
