China Embassy hosts Chinese New Year reception, promotes a “Fresh Start” in bilateral ties.

H.E. Ambassador Xu Feihong and Madame Tan Yuxiu generously hosted the event, which took place at the Shangri-La in New Delhi on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. The gathering gathered together diplomats, industry executives, and key stakeholders to celebrate the traditions of the Spring Festival.

The Ambassador welcomed guests to an evening of customary hospitality and diplomatic engagement, highlighting the ongoing value of cultural interchange.

In his remarks to the audience, Ambassador Xu Feihong underscored the strong momentum in bilateral ties, noting the leadership summit held last year. He remarked, “Last August, President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a successful meeting in Tianjin which leads China-India relations from a reset and a fresh start to a new level of improvement. All levels of exchanges have increased in frequency.

Following the address, the Ambassador offered a customary toast to ring in the new year, wishing prosperity and greater collaboration between the two nations.
