Ole Orvér is named Chief Executive Officer of Oneworld.

Ole Orvér, a seasoned airline executive, has been appointed as Oneworld’s new CEO. On April 1, 2026, he will take up the position.
Orvér, a native of Sweden, joins the role with over 20 years of expertise in the aviation sector. His most recent position was Chief Commercial Officer of Finnair, where he oversaw a major overhaul of the airline’s network and commercial strategies and implemented important new loyalty and revenue-generating programs.
“We are happy to welcome Ole as CEO of oneworld as the alliance leads the world in redefining the full breadth of value it provides to member airlines and their customers”, said Robert Isom, the current Chairman of oneworld’s Governing Board and the CEO of American Airlines. He will continue to deliver on the upcoming customer-first initiatives that further solidify Oneworld’s position as the world’s premier airline alliance thanks to his demonstrated track record of boosting commercial performance, in-depth understanding of airline partnerships, and vast international experience.
Orvér was the Senior Vice President of Network Management at Qatar Airways before joining Finnair. Additionally, he has held executive positions at SAS Scandinavian Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines, and Air Berlin. He graduated from Mid Sweden University with a degree in economics and earned his certification from the Wharton School’s Strategic Thinking and Leadership Growth Program.

Orvér takes over for Nathaniel Pieper, who recently joined American Airlines as Chief Commercial Officer. “On behalf of the Governing Board, we also extend our sincere thanks to Nat for his leadership and the significant contributions he made during his time as CEO,” Isom stated in acknowledgement of his contribution.
Orvér will spearhead Oneworld’s ongoing objective to improve consumer advantages via greater member integration and technical innovation in his new position. He will answer to the CEOs of the alliance’s member airlines on the Governing Board.
