Air India suspends Middle East flights until March 2.

Citing the ongoing crisis in the Middle East, Air India has prolonged the suspension of all flights to and from the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Israel, and Qatar till 2359 hours IST on March 02, 2026.
Several flights to Europe on March 2, 2026, as well as the return legs of such flights, have been cancelled in addition to the regional suspension. In addition to flights connected to the Zurich and Copenhagen sectors, the impacted services include AI117 from Amritsar, AI151/AI152 from Delhi, AI157/AI158 from Delhi, and AI114 operating between Delhi and Birmingham.
Although they will use different routes over available Middle Eastern airspace, the airline assured that all other flights to North America and Europe will continue to run as planned. Longer flying times are anticipated as a result of these updated flight paths.
Additionally, flights to Newark (Liberty International) and New York (JFK) will stop technically at Rome’s Fiumicino Airport.
Before departing, customers are urged to verify flight status updates via official sources.
