Rohit Dar is named Vice President and Head of South Asia by Ascott.

Ascott Limited has strengthened its leadership team as it speeds up growth in the area by appointing Rohit Dar as Vice President and Head of South Asia.

In his new position, Rohit Dar will oversee Ascott’s business operations and expansion strategy throughout South Asia, with an emphasis on growing the company’s footprint, raising performance standards, and fortifying stakeholder relationships.

Dar has more than thirty years of experience in the hotel industry and a solid track record with international companies. He handled a multi-brand portfolio across important markets as Senior Regional Director of Operations at Hilton India before joining Ascott. In addition, he has held general manager positions with Marriott International, including leadership responsibilities at the Jaipur Marriott Hotel and The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace. He previously worked for The Oberoi Group for eighteen years in a variety of corporate and operational capacities.

In order to reflect changing travel demand and position itself for long-term regional growth, the company is also bolstering its footprint in both metro and rising Tier 2 and Tier 3 regions.
