Summit Hotels & Resorts Appoints Shova Lama as Sikkim PRO.

As part of its plan to improve interaction with regional markets and governmental organisations in the Northeast, Summit Hotels and Resorts has announced the appointment of Shova Lama as Public Relations Officer for Sikkim.

In her new position, Shova Lama will concentrate on developing and strengthening connections with the state’s public institutions and government agencies. Her duties include arranging lodging for official visits, organising hospitality for conferences and government events, and increasing the group’s institutional business prospects.

In order to increase the brand’s visibility in the local events and social hospitality market, she will also collaborate closely with local communities and organisations to market Summit’s hotels as locations for private celebrations, social events, and weddings.

Lama will also assist with government empanelment and registration procedures, overseeing documentation needs and compliance. By communicating with stakeholders in nearby states to find possible hotel sites for the Summit portfolio under a lease model, she will also support the company’s expansion aspirations in the Northeast.

Sumit Mitruka, CEO of Summit Hotels and Resorts stated,  “The Northeast has always been central to Summit’s journey, and Sikkim in particular remains one of our strongest operating regions. Developing stronger partnerships with local communities, government agencies, and regional stakeholders is crucial as our network of assets spreads throughout the hills. Shova’s involvement will support our expansion plans throughout the greater Northeast while also assisting us in fortifying these ties.”
