Sartha Global Marketing is named Meet Boston’s India Representative.

Sartha Global Marketing has been designated as Meet Boston’s representative in the Indian market. Meet Boston is a private-sector nonprofit tourism marketing group that represents Boston, Cambridge, and the surrounding area. Meet Boston’s official launch into India is marked by this strategic relationship, which also highlights the destination’s increasing attention to the quickly rising Indian outbound tourism industry.

Through this collaboration, Sartha Global Marketing will lead Meet Boston’s marketing, travel, and public relations initiatives in India. By raising destination awareness and cultivating connections with the travel industry and media, the objective is to present Boston as a desirable, year-round U.S. destination for Indian tourists.

With almost 106,000 tourists from India in 2024, Boston became the third-largest foreign visitor market, behind China and the UK. These tourists boosted Boston’s tourism business by $165 million USD. India is a major market, as evidenced by the rising community of Indian tourists and the Indian diaspora in Boston who have year-round travel interest. There is now a great chance to increase these arrival numbers and draw in additional tourists from the nation with committed local representation.

For the perfect East Coast vacation, Boston provides a wide range of American history, a strong intellectual environment, world-class cuisine, outdoor attractions, family-friendly activities, and more. Additionally, the city has a strong sports culture and will host seven FIFA World Cup 2026 matches.

Martha Sheridan, President and CEO of Meet Boston stated,  “India is a growing market for Greater Boston, and we are delighted to partner with Sartha Global Marketing to elevate the destination’s positioning in the Indian market. We have witnessed the enormous interest and potential in the sector after visiting India on recent trade and media missions. We are certain that we have discovered the perfect partner in Sartha a team that is enthusiastic about telling stories and sharing all that makes our region such a unique travel destination.”

Nik Pereira, SVP of Sales & Services at Meet Boston said, “India represents one of the most dynamic and high-growth international in-bound leisure markets for Boston. This collaboration with Sartha Global Marketing is a significant step in enhancing our local presence. We see a huge opportunity to welcome more Indian visitors to enjoy everything Greater Boston has to offer, thanks to growing connectivity and a strong cultural and educational connection.”

Sunil Puri, Joint-Managing Director of Sartha Global Marketing said, “We are excited to represent Meet Boston in India. Indian tourists find Boston’s blend of culture, history, outdoor activities, a vibrant food scene, and a love of sports to be quite appealing. We are sure that our efforts will raise awareness and inspire more Indians to travel to this stunning city.”
