Akasa Air begins operating direct flights to Gwalior and Delhi.
Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and Priya Mehra, Chief of Governance & Strategic Acquisitions, Akasa Air, launched the first flight.
The introduction of direct flights between Gwalior and Delhi was announced by Akasa Air. Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Union Minister of Communications and Minister of Development of the North Eastern Region (DoNER), and Priya Mehra, Chief of Governance & Strategic Acquisitions, Akasa Air, virtually opened the first flight, which took off from Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Airport and landed at Indira Gandhi International Airport.
At Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Airport, a special ceremony was arranged to honour the inaugural flight. Leaders from Gwalior Airport, Akasa Air representatives, and Pradyum Singh Tomar, District President of Gwalior, ignited a ceremonial lamp.
