JW Marriott Ranthambore marks Marriott’s 10,000th global property.

As the firm approaches its 100th anniversary, Marriott International has reached a significant milestone with the inauguration of its 10,000th property globally, JW Marriott Ranthambore Resort & Spa in Rajasthan.

With a portfolio of 10,000 properties spread across 146 countries and territories, Marriott has grown from a nine-seat root beer stand started in 1927 to one of the biggest hospitality organisations in the world, as evidenced by the historic opening.

Anthony Capuano, President and CEO of Marriott International stated, “Marriott was founded 99 years ago as a nine-seat root beer stand, and as of today, has grown into a global portfolio of 10,000 properties spanning 146 countries and territories. I’m incredibly proud of this amazing accomplishment, which was made possible by our international staff and the owners who still have faith in Marriott brands. Given that it bears the name of our co-founder, J.Willard Marriott, it is particularly significant to commemorate this achievement with a hotel bearing the JW Marriott brand. We are honoured to continue the amazing legacy of opportunity, service, and innovation that he and Alice S. Marriott created.”

David Marriott, Chairman of the Board, Rajeev Menon, President of Asia Pacific except China (APEC), Nilesh Gadhiya, the resort’s owner, and the Gadhiya family attended the inauguration celebration at JW Marriott Ranthambore Resort & Spa.

With 127 well-thought-out rooms, including private villas, bedrooms, and suites, the resort provides an immersive luxury escape just a short drive from Ranthambore National Park. Through a variety of varied dining experiences, including modern Indian cuisine, regional specialities, and regionally inspired botanical cocktails, visitors may re-establish a connection with nature while enjoying premium eating on the site.

With more than 130 properties worldwide under the JW Marriott brand, the opening also enhances Marriott’s luxury portfolio. There are currently seven brands and about 700 properties in 74 countries and territories that make up Marriott’s luxury division.

The St. Regis Budapest in Hungary, The Westin Playa Vallarta, an All-Inclusive Resort in Mexico, Artik Suzhou, Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy in China, and StudioRes by Marriott Greensboro Airport in the United States are just a few of the noteworthy openings that Marriott recently celebrated as part of its ongoing global expansion.
