ITA Airways and MAECI sign MoU to facilitate travel to and from Italy.

Additionally, the agreement allows for the sharing of studies, analyses, and information on market trends, worldwide demand, sustainability, and workforce development, as well as the potential introduction of special fares for activities supported by MAECI.

The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) and ITA Airways have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the goal of forging a strategic alliance to advance the Italy System, increase Italy’s appeal, and facilitate travel to and from Italy.

During today’s Conference of Italian Consuls Around the World at the Farnesina, ITA Airways Chairman Sandro Pappalardo and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Antonio Tajani signed the memorandum, which outlines several important areas of cooperation. These include joint participation in conferences, forums, trade shows, and promotional events in Italy and overseas; sports diplomacy, which includes the potential for preferential fares for individuals involved in international sporting initiatives; and growth diplomacy, which involves the exchange of information useful for route development and the internationalisation of Italy’s economic system.

The agreement also allows for the sharing of research, analysis, and data on market trends, global demand, sustainability, and workforce development, as well as the potential introduction of special fares for projects supported by MAECI.Chairman Sandro Pappalardo stated, “Air transport is a truly strategic infrastructure supporting the competitiveness of Italy’s productive system, not just a service.
