SaffronStays Raises $3.5M for Growth and Technology.

One of the leading managed vacation home and villa hospitality companies in India, SaffronStays, has raised $3.5 million in a growth fundraising round headed by Infinity Ventures, with participation from a number of well-known family offices.
Fresh primary cash and a partial secondary sale by current investor Sixth Sense Ventures made up the round. According to the company, the money will be used to support its next phase of growth, which will include expanding into new and existing leisure destinations, investing in technology and product innovation, improving guest experiences, and expanding its premium portfolio of managed homes throughout India.
Over the past two fiscal years, SaffronStays claims that its target markets have experienced significant growth, with inventory rising by 70% in North India, 90% in South India, and 200% in Goa. According to the company, this growth has improved its position in some of the fastest-growing vacation and staycation areas in India.
SaffronStays emphasised its ongoing emphasis on profitability and financial discipline in addition to portfolio expansion, pointing out that it has maintained profitability over the previous four years.
Devendra Parulekar, co-founder of SaffronStays, commented on the fundraiser, saying, “SaffronStays has always focused on building a sustainable and profitable hospitality platform rather than chasing growth at any cost. We have grown our portfolio by more than 150% over the last three years, scaled significantly throughout our target areas, and established a business where luxury houses now account for more than half of our income. We have maintained profitability during this journey while making ongoing investments in operations, technology, and visitor experience. We can expedite such investments and improve our standing in the managed vacation home industry in India thanks to this cash increase.”
Tejas Parulekar, co-founder of SaffronStays stated, “We think the holiday-home sector in India presents a significant long-term opportunity. Today, direct reservations account for almost 70% of our revenue, our newly released app is already gaining significant popularity, and demand for immersive stays keeps rising. Our goal is to establish five regional business units that can each bring in ₹100 crore annually while upholding a strict focus on customer happiness, operational excellence, and profitability.”
SaffronStays further stated that it will keep bolstering its premium and experiential hospitality services, with an increasing portion of its earnings coming from more expensive residences, carefully chosen experiences, and destination-led stays that accommodate changing visitor tastes.
The most recent investment is anticipated to assist the business in expanding its operations and taking advantage of the rising demand in India for managed vacation homes and immersive travel.
