Riyadh Air Orders six Airbus A350-1000s.

Riyadh Air declared that it will exercise its purchase rights for six more Airbus A350-1000 aircraft. The deal, which was made public at the Farnborough International Airshow in 2026, propels the airline’s strategic growth, bringing its confirmed fleet of Airbus A350-1000s to 31, greatly increasing its ultra-long-haul capacity. In addition, the airline has placed orders for 60 Airbus A321 aircraft, for a total of 91 aircraft. Additionally, 19 options and buy rights for the A350 aircraft are still open for exercise, giving the carrier more flexibility in the future.

This announcement follows Riyadh Air’s historic first commercial flight from Riyadh (RUH) to London Heathrow (LHR) on June 10, 2026, using its brand-new, specially designed fleet. By using these widebody purchase rights, the carrier demonstrates its dedication to developing a cutting-edge, highly effective fleet that will enable it to connect the Kingdom to more than 100 locations throughout Asia, Oceania, Africa, Europe, and the Americas by 2030.

Riyadh Air has started selling tickets for flights from Riyadh to six more cities: Dhaka, Islamabad, Kuala Lumpur, Lahore, Manchester, and Mumbai. Many more flights will be announced in the upcoming weeks and months. The airline currently operates flights to six destinations, including London, Cairo, Dubai, Jeddah, Malaga, and Madrid.

By 2030, the airline hopes to contribute more than USD 20 billion (SAR 75 billion) to non-oil GDP growth and create more than 200,000 direct and indirect jobs through its global expansion.
