From October 1, SAS will fly Copenhagen-Mumbai to India.
With the start of a year-round nonstop service between Copenhagen and Mumbai on October 1, 2026, SAS, the premier airline in Scandinavia, will make a 17-year comeback to India. Bookings are now available through all of the airline’s sales channels after operational preparations for the route were finished.
The new route will improve air connectivity between Scandinavia and India by operating five times a week on an Airbus A330 with 266 seats.
Additionally, customers departing from Mumbai will be able to connect via Copenhagen to destinations throughout SAS’s European and long-haul network, such as New York, Boston, and Toronto.

This strategic route, which enables easy access between Scandinavia and one of the most vibrant economic centers in the world, is a remarkable milestone for SAS.

On Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, the Copenhagen-Mumbai service, known as SK969, will leave Copenhagen at 4:10 p.m. and arrive in Mumbai at 4:30 a.m.
On October 3, the return service, SK970, will leave Mumbai at 6:30 am on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays and arrive in Copenhagen at 12:15 pm.
The year-round service, which represents SAS’s return to the Indian market, is anticipated to facilitate both business and leisure travel as well as improved connection between India, Scandinavia, and locations throughout the airline’s larger network.
