Alaska Airlines will fly nonstop to Athens and Paris.
Alaska Airlines is expanding its global network to include Athens and Paris. The airline will be the first oneworld airline to offer nonstop service between the West Coast and Paris, one of the most sought-after transatlantic markets in the region, when service to Paris begins in May 2027.
For a multi-season campaign that honours new territory and Seattle hometown pride, the hometown airline is collaborating with Seattle’s top quarterback, Sam Darnold. The airline will serve seven intercontinental destinations when the additional additions are introduced in the spring of next year.

Flight AS196, Alaska’s new service to Athens, honours the Greek capital as the site of the modern Olympic Games’ inception in 1896. Flight AS136, a new route to Paris, pays homage to the city’s 136 museums and well-known cultural scene. Both flights facilitate tourists’ exploration of these well-known European locations with their convenient departure and arrival times. Hawaiʻi is the airline’s second-largest hub, and same-day flights between Honolulu and Paris via Seattle are made possible by the airline’s expanding global network.
Starting on May 12, 2027, the seasonal service will run three times a week over the longest distance Alaska has ever flown. When the new route opens, it will also be the sole nonstop flight from Athens to the West Coast, making it simpler than ever for tourists from all over the region to get to Greece and beyond.
