Oman Air is commemorating 25 years of flights between Muscat and Kochi, which means that Oman has been connected to the center of Kerala for 25 years.

Thousands of passengers have been transported between the two cities by Oman Air since the service’s 2001 start, strengthening the long-standing relationship between Oman and India. With up to 14 weekly flights, it is still one of Oman Air’s best-performing routes today, demonstrating the connection’s ongoing significance and steady demand.

JPG Ahmed Al Mahrouqi, Vise President Global Sales at Oman Air stated “Celebrating 25 years of flying to Kochi is a significant milestone for Oman Air and one that reflects the strength and longevity of the relationship between Oman and Kerala, and more broadly, India. We are still dedicated to improving connection between our two nations and providing our customers with the unique travel experience they have come to expect from Oman Air.”

Oman Air celebrated the bright Onam celebration and a traditional Onam Sadhya in conjunction with the anniversary, honouring its trade partners and associations. On August 18, 2026, this historic occasion took place at Kochi’s TDM Hall.

In the meantime, India continues to play a significant role in Oman Air’s 49-destination worldwide network, with its Muscat-Mumbai route celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2025.
