ASAI Gamuda Cove to open in September as Dusit’s first hotel in Malaysia.

With the opening of ASAI Gamuda Cove on September 15, 2026, Dusit Hotels and Resorts, the hotel division of Dusit International, will launch its ASAI Hotels brand in Malaysia.
Situated in the 1,530-acre Gamuda Cove township and around 20 minutes away by automobile from Kuala Lumpur International Airport, the 13-story hotel will have 280 rooms, making it the largest ASAI project to date. It will also be the first ASAI property to open outside of a city neighbourhood and Dusit’s second hotel in Malaysia, after Dusit Princess Melaka.
The hotel will join the brand’s current establishments in Kyoto and Bangkok.
The facility will provide access to some of Selangor’s natural and recreational features, reflecting ASAI Hotels’ Live Local attitude.
It is next to the 90-acre Wetlands Arboretum, which provides walking paths, birdwatching opportunities, and environmental education opportunities, and the 1,111-acre Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands, a nature reserve and wildlife sanctuary.
Discovery Park, an outdoor amusement and entertainment area, and SplashMania Waterpark, which has 39 slides and activities, are two nearby attractions. Important locations around the Gamuda Cove township are connected by an electric tram network.
ASAI Gamuda Cove will have 280 rooms in a variety of layouts, including balcony rooms, bunk-bed alternatives, compact accommodations for singles and couples, and a two-room family category that can accommodate up to six people. A few rooms will have views of the marshes.
A gym, co-working spaces, an infinity pool with views of the wetlands, and adaptable conference and event spaces for up to 100 people are among the amenities.
Additionally, the hotel will have three restaurants. The all-day eatery Nasi & Khao will provide worldwide cuisine along with flavours from Malaysia and Thailand. While the Pool Bar serves cocktails, refreshments and nibbles with a view of the wetlands and infinity pool, the Tea Shop will provide teas and light fare.
Chanin Donavanik, Group CEO, Dusit International stated, “ASAI Gamuda Cove shows how our Live Local approach can work in a setting where nature, recreation, and a growing community come together. It will make the wetlands and the larger municipality easily accessible, give visitors a cosy and useful base, and give locals new places to socialise and eat. We have a great chance to show people from Malaysia and around the world what ASAI has to offer by opening right before Formula 1 returns. Additionally, the hotel’s function will go well beyond race weekend, we want every visit to provide visitors a better understanding of the region and foster relationships with its residents.”
After ASAI Bangkok Chinatown and Bangkok Sathorn in Thailand and ASAI Kyoto Shijo in Japan, ASAI Gamuda Cove will be the brand’s fourth hotel in operation.
After Dusit Princess Melaka debuted in December 2024, the opening will increase Dusit’s presence in Malaysia. Additionally, the business plans to open Dusit Princess Ipoh in October 2026.
