Choice Hotels hires President & CEO Dominic Dragisich.

Dominic Dragisich has been appointed by the Board of Directors of Choice Hotels International, Inc. as President and Chief Executive Officer, with effect from August 31, 2026. Since May 20, 2026, Dragisich has held the position of Interim CEO.

Stewart Bainum Jr., Chairman of the Board of Directors for Choice Hotels International, stated, “At Choice Hotels, Dom has been a proven, outstanding leader for almost ten years. Dom has promoted strategic initiatives and cultivated a performance-driven culture throughout the organization since taking over as interim CEO. He brings an innovative mindset, a deep appreciation for attracting and developing great talent, and a clear vision for the future of the business.”

Bainum continued,  “The Board conducted a thorough search and evaluated a strong slate of internal and external candidates. We came to the conclusion that Dom is the ideal leader to carry out our plan, build on Choice Hotels’ recent success, and create long-term value for our shareholders and franchisees.”

Dragisich has worked for Choice Hotels for almost ten years, holding positions with progressively more responsibility throughout the organization, such as Chief Financial Officer, Executive Vise President of Operations and Chief Global Brand Officer, and Chief Growth and Strategy Officer. He has been instrumental in the company’s expansion, leading significant acquisitions and promoting important strategic initiatives that have increased the company’s portfolio, strengthened its competitive position, and produced long-term value for shareholders and franchisees.

Dragisich was the Chief Financial Officer at XO Communications before joining Choice Hotels. There, he successfully restored the company’s top-line growth and profitability. Dragisich previously worked at Marriott International, NII Holdings, and Deloitte Consulting in senior finance and operational roles.
