Malaysia Airlines adds seven APAC tourist agreements.

Malaysia Airlines strengthens its Asia-Pacific tourism agreements, boosting connectivity and growth. The airline will support joint marketing and promotional initiatives with tourism boards and destination marketing organisations in Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Taiwan, Singapore, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, and Malaysia to increase travel demand, connectivity, and exploration. Seven relationships were confirmed at a travel mart.
Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) Chief Executive Officer of Airline Business Bryan Foong said, “These partnerships reflect our shared commitment to inspiring travel, strengthening tourism ecosystems and creating opportunities for local communities. We look forward to welcome more visitors, establishing ties, and promoting regional tourism growth with our tourist partners.”
The airline’s first strategic relationship with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is a one-year MoU that promotes Malaysia-Thailand tourism. Joint destination marketing campaigns aim to promote Thailand to Malaysian tourists and increase tourism trade between the two markets.
This relationship with the Indonesian Ministry of tourist shows Malaysia and Indonesia’s commitment to tourist cooperation. The partnership promotes Indonesia as a tourist destination and strengthens transport links between the two countries.
A one-year MoU with the Philippines Department of Tourism (PDOT) promotes the Philippines as a Malaysian leisure destination. The alliance intends to boost destination awareness, travel demand, and tourist linkages between both countries through cooperative marketing and promotion.
The one-year MoU with the Tourism Taiwan Administration (TTA) would boost Malaysia-Taiwan tourism. Strategic advertising strategies and consumer involvement will promote Taiwan’s diversified attractions, seasonal experiences, and unique cultural offers to Malaysians, increasing tourism.
Following successful campaigns, Malaysia Airlines and the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) extended and expanded their collaboration with a three-year MoU and a one-year strategic agreement. The extended initiative will stimulate Malaysia-Singapore travel demand through cooperative marketing, destination promotion, and loyalty program involvement.
Malaysia Airlines’ new Busan service and a strategic cooperation with the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) would promote South Korea as a top destination for Malaysians. South Korea’s unique cultural experiences and diversified tourism products will be promoted through targeted marketing to attract more visitors.
Australia will be promoted to Malaysian tourists through a one-year Partnership Marketing Agreement with Tourism Australia. The collaboration promotes tourism and demand between markets through destination marketing, consumer interaction, and trade.
In addition to these new and renewed relationships, Malaysia Airlines continues its long-time marketing ties with Tourism Malaysia and Tourism New Zealand to promote tourism growth and connectivity. Malaysia Airlines, the national airline, collaborates with tourism boards, destinations, and industry participants to boost demand, create new possibilities, and reinforce Malaysia’s position as a gateway to Asia-Pacific and beyond.
