SONE BANYAN Amaraa Faru to Open in Maldives in March 2027.

ONE BANYAN Amaraa Faru An Atmosphere Hotel, Atmosphere Core‘s tenth resort in the Maldives, is set to open in March 2027.
As the first resort in the new ONE BANYAN series of co-branded island resorts in the Maldives, the establishment will function under the “An Atmosphere Hotel” sub-brand of Atmosphere Hotels & Resorts. The idea was created to incorporate distinct resort identities into the portfolio while preserving each property’s unique personality.
Velana International Airport will provide a 45-minute speedboat journey to ONE BANYAN Amaraa Faru, which is situated in Kaafu Atoll. It will be Atmosphere Hotels & Resorts’ seventh property globally.
“As demand for the Maldives continues to grow and diversify, we are seeing travellers seek stays that are luxurious yet tailored to their individual needs, and purchasing decisions are increasingly shaped by the quality of experiences rather than amenities and services alone. In addition to meeting this changing need, Amaraa Faru helps us realise our brand’s motto, “A New Experience Awaits,” stated Salil Panigrahi, co-founder and managing director of Atmosphere Core.
“At this resort, guests can look forward to a lavish yet grounded sophistication inspired by the natural rhythm, culture, and people of the islands,” he continued.
Each of the 118 beach and overwater villas at ONE BANYAN Amaraa Faru will have a private pool and range in size from 100 square meters for ordinary beach villas to 164 square meters for family beach villas to 117 square meters for overwater villas.
The resort’s design will incorporate natural materials, locally inspired textures, Art Deco motifs, and eco-conscious finishes, all of which are inspired by the Maldives’ marine environment and traditional palm-leaf workmanship.
Its culinary offerings will feature three specialist restaurants with concepts ranging from Argentinian cuisine to an overwater Japanese dining experience, as well as an all-day dining restaurant and a major pool bar.
The Atmosphere Hotels & Resorts Holiday Plan, which includes eating, wellness, snorkelling, and other activities, will also be available to guests.
A kids’ club, an oceanfront gym and fitness center, a dive and water sports center, and a promenade-style shopping area are among the amenities. Overwater treatment rooms, a 40-square-meter saltwater pool, a sauna, and steam rooms will all be included in an ELE|NA Ayur spa and wellness center.
While sustainability initiatives include solar energy solutions, water conservation systems, and a no-plastics approach, including in-house glass water bottling, technology will be interwoven throughout the visitor encounter.
Atmosphere Core was established in 2013 and presently runs nine resorts in the Maldives under three different names. Two more projects, ONE BANYAN Amaraa Faru, are in the works. In addition to the Maldives, the company operates legacy hotels in Italy and India, and it has plans for over 20 new properties throughout South Asia and Europe.
