CFM & IndiGo Sign MoU for 1,000+ LEAP Engines.

This will set a record for CFM International and be the biggest single order ever placed for LEAP engines. As part of the agreement, MRO capabilities will be developed for IndiGo’s expanding fleet.

A Memorandum of Understanding has been struck between IndiGo and CFM International for the purchase of more than 1,000 LEAP-1A engines to power 510 Airbus A320neo Family aircraft. This will set a record for CFM International and be the biggest single order ever placed for LEAP engines.

The Memorandum of Understanding also covers CFM’s substantial assistance in setting up IndiGo’s future engine MRO facility (maintenance, repair, and overhaul) and supporting IndiGo’s expanding fleet through a long-term material services agreement that includes the provision of spare parts, guaranteeing high dispatch reliability, predictable costs, and top-notch support as the airline expands its operations.
