ITA Airways to Launch Rome Riyadh Flights.

ITA Airways will resume direct flights between Rome and Riyadh from September 15, 2026, restoring an important air connectivity link between Italy and Saudi Arabia. The airline will operate five weekly flights between Rome Fiumicino Airport and Riyadh, offering passengers more convenient travel options between the two destinations.
The resumption of the route is expected to support growing business, tourism and bilateral travel between Italy and Saudi Arabia. Riyadh is an important regional business and economic hub, while Rome serves as a key gateway to Italy and destinations across Europe. The direct service will also allow passengers to connect more conveniently through ITA Airways’ Rome hub.
The route is expected to benefit both leisure and corporate travellers, particularly as travel demand between Europe and the Gulf region continues to grow. The reinstatement of direct flights further strengthens ITA Airways’ international network and its presence in the Middle East.
With five weekly services, the airline will provide greater flexibility for passengers travelling between the two cities. The Rome–Riyadh connection is also likely to support stronger links between the two countries, facilitating tourism, business travel and broader economic exchanges. The resumption highlights the continued expansion and recovery of international air connectivity between Europe and the Middle East.
