South African Tourism Concludes 11th “Learn SA” Programme in Lucknow.

On March 31, 2026, South African Tourism‘s multi-city “Learn South Africa” campaign came to an end in Lucknow. The 11th edition of “Learn South Africa” in Lucknow represents a significant turning point in South African tourism’s ongoing efforts to fortify its alliances with Indian travel industry experts.
The workshop series is intended to give travel trade partners a deeper understanding of South Africa’s varied tourism experiences, from cultural routes and adventure options to emerging regions, strengthening its attempts to capitalise on the growing hunger for foreign travel throughout tier-2 cities.
In order to leverage on the increasing demand for South Africa as a preferred leisure and MICE destination, South African Tourism hopes to improve partner readiness, solve market-specific issues, and enhance engagement with the travel trade community through this multi-city project.
For South African tourism, India is a crucial source market. In addition to premium leisure and incentive-led travel, Lucknow tourists are showing an increasing interest in immersive, experience-led vacations that combine culture, heritage, wildlife, beautiful scenery, and gentle adventure.
The training strengthens South Africa’s reputation as a desirable destination for both leisure and MICE travel by giving travel partners more in-depth destination knowledge and useful insights to create customised itineraries that fit Lucknow’s changing travel goals.
Gcobani Mancotywa, Regional General Manager for Asia, Australasia, and the Middle East, South African Tourism, commented on the event’s success in Lucknow, saying: “We are strengthening collaboration with travel agents in key markets like Lucknow through enhanced destination knowledge and itinerary planning support to cater to this demand.” Our interactions with the city’s tourism industry have been quite positive, and it is anticipated that this will increase interest in travelling to South Africa beyond conventional entry ports, enhancing its allure as a top leisure and MICE destination.
