Delhi government to launch four curated tourist routes and a history walk from February 20.
In an effort to provide citizens and tourists with a comprehensive tour of the capital’s historical, cultural, and architectural sites, the Delhi administration will launch four carefully selected tourism circuits and a guided heritage walk on February 20 to commemorate the end of its first year in power.
“Dilli Ki Dharohar,” “Dilli ka Dil aur Virasat,” “Dilli ka Rahasya,” and “Dilli Dekho Dil Se” are the four themed circuits that will be open every day except Mondays, according to a representative of the Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC).
According to him, the circuits are half-day guided tours that visit the capital’s most notable landmarks, museums, and public areas.
According to the official, guests can purchase tour tickets online and then receive comprehensive information about the timetable and reporting location.
“After making a reservation, guests will receive information about a specified meeting spot from which DTTDC will operate a scheduled bus service. Tourists will travel to all the locations on the chosen circuit in the same bus,” the official continued.
With drive-past views of famous sites like India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Parliament House, and Bharat Mandapam, he said, the “Dilli Ki Dharohar” (Delhi’s legacy) trip would run from 8 am to 2 pm and visit Agrasen ki Baoli, Purana Qila, and Akshardham Mandir. Adult tickets are priced at Rs 315, while children’s tickets are priced at Rs 157.
The Pradhan Mantri Sangrahalaya, National War Memorial, Kartavya Path, Qutub Complex, and Dilli Haat at INA will also be visited as part of the “Dilli ka Dil aur Virasat” (Delhi’s soul and heritage) circuit, which is planned for the evening from 4 to 9.30 p.m., the official said, adding that drive-past attractions include 11 Murti, the embassy area, and illuminated government buildings. Adult tickets cost Rs 420, while children’s tickets cost Rs 210.
The “Dilli ka Rahasya” (Mysteries of Delhi) circuit, he said, will be a morning tour that includes drive-by views of the main attractions in downtown Delhi as well as Jantar Mantar, the National Museum, Lodi Garden, and Safdarjung Tomb.
The National War Memorial, India Gate, Pradhan Mantri Sangrahalaya, and a Hindi light and sound display will all be included in the evening’s “Dilli Dekho Dil Se” trip, which will conclude with a visit to Dilli Haat, the official stated.
A Haunted Heritage Walk at Malcha Mahal will also be introduced by the DTTDC on February 20. Tickets for the guided walk will cost Rs 550 per person, and it will take place on weekends and upon group request with a minimum of six people, he added.
In order to increase tourism and inspire locals to rediscover Delhi’s complex past, the official stated that more carefully chosen experiences, heritage walks, and cultural events are scheduled throughout the month.
