In 2026, IHG will launch the Vignette Collection in Panchkula, India.

In order to introduce its unique luxury and lifestyle brand, Vignette Collection, to India, IHG Hotels and Resorts has partnered with Hanu Overseas to sign a management agreement. The Vignette Collection hotel in Panchkula, which is slated to open in early 2026, supports IHG’s plan to expand quickly in India’s high-potential premium market.
In some of the most sought-after urban and resort areas, Vignette Collection is a collection of unique, upscale hotels designed for visitors looking for rich and varied stay experiences. Additionally, the brand allows owners of top-tier independent hotels to maintain their own character while taking use of IHG’s global reach and knowledge of luxury and lifestyle. The company is known for its unforgettable rituals, deliberate luxury, and stays that are truly tied to their place.
Panchkula, a vibrant economic centre, is well situated in the quickly growing Chandigarh Metropolitan Region. Major IT parks, top automakers, manufacturing and pharmaceutical centres, PSUs, and prestigious national universities may all be found in the tri-city cluster.
The Vignette Collection brand ethos of uniqueness and meaningful hospitality will be reflected in the forthcoming 145-room hotel with 11 suites. Four different dining options are available to guests, including a private dining area, lobby lounge, and trademark restaurant. A fitness facility, spa, swimming pool, carefully chosen stores, and plenty of parking are among the amenities. The hotel is well-positioned to satisfy the region’s high demand for MICE and social gatherings, especially weddings, thanks to its more than 2,200 square meters of dedicated meeting and event space.
“Introducing Vignette Collection to India is a significant milestone as we expand our luxury and lifestyle portfolio in the country,” said Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts, in response to the signing. This action directly addresses the expanding market of discriminating tourists looking for intensely intimate, locally relevant experiences. With the support of IHG’s global reach and IHG One Rewards loyalty program, Vignette Collection delivers compelling originality. With its robust year-round demand and vibrant economy, Panchkula offers the ideal setting for the launch of our brand. We can’t wait to add a genuinely unique luxury experience to this area’s hospitality offerings.
Aman Gupta, who spoke on behalf of the ownership says, “We are proud to partner with IHG Hotels and Resorts to bring the Vignette Collection brand to India. We think this collaboration will raise the bar for upscale hospitality in the area, as Panchkula is becoming a popular location for retreats, celebrations, and meaningful leisure travel. Our goal is to build a hotel that offers well-thought-out experiences with a strong feeling of location while celebrating its distinct personality.”
By joining the soon-to-open Crowne Plaza Chandigarh Zirakpur and Holiday Inn and Suites Chandigarh Zirakpur, this signing enhances IHG’s development momentum in the Chandigarh Metropolitan Region and expands the company’s footprint in this important region.
As of right now, IHG operates 51 hotels in India under six brands: Six Senses, InterContinental Hotels and Resorts, Crowne Plaza, Vovoco properties, Holiday Inn Resort, and Holiday Inn Express. Additionally, there is a robust pipeline of 80 properties that are scheduled to launch within the next three to five years.
