Moroccan National Tourism Completes Three-City Roadshow in South India.
The Moroccan National Tourism Office (MNTO) has completed a three-city MICE roadshow in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai. The roadshows, which brought together more than 80 travel industry experts and Moroccan stakeholders on March 23, 24, and 25, 2026, respectively, highlighted Morocco’s increasing appeal as a MICE and experiential tourism destination.
“We are seeing strong momentum across MICE, luxury travel, and destination weddings, supported by growing media visibility and strategic collaborations,” stated Jamal Kilito, Country Manager India, MNTO, in response to the campaign. Morocco is improving its infrastructure and event facilities in anticipation of AFCON 2025 and the FIFA World Cup 2030, making it a perfect location for international conferences, incentive programs, and grand festivities.
Morocco welcomed 53,697 Indian tourists in 2025, a 31% year-over-year growth. The country is now aiming for almost 70,000 visitors in 2026, with the expansion of luxury partnerships and specialised MICE advertising acting as the main drivers of this goal.
In important towns like Marrakech, Casablanca, and Rabat, the nation offers state-of-the-art convention facilities, opulent hospitality, and infrastructure for the MICE sector.
The nation has 300,000 hotel beds in stock as well as large venues like the 30,000-person Espace Bab Jdid and the Palais des Québec in Marrakech. Access Maroc, an e-visa portal, guarantees a three-to seven-day turnaround time. Morocco has dedicated Indian chef teams in Casablanca and Rabat, as well as Michelin-starred Indian fine dining at The Oberoi Marrakech.
The wedding market is growing significantly, and 2026 is predicted to be a historic year as high-profile Indian weddings turn into multi-day events that include takeovers of upscale palaces and resorts.
