ADB Project to Develop ₹180-Crore Five-Star Hotel in Kangra, Says HPTDC.
R S Bali, Chairman of the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation, stated on Friday that a large hotel valued at Rs 180 crore will be built in Kangra district as part of an Asian Development Bank initiative.
Speaking at a news conference here, Bali stated that the decision was made during the corporation’s board of directors meeting.
He stated, “This hotel will be built as a five-star establishment at the base of the picturesque Dhauladhar range and will feature the state’s first musical fountain.” On April 6, the largest project in the state will have its tender finalised.
“The central government has approved the renovation of the corporation’s Hotel Holiday Home in Shimla, which will cost Rs 45 crore,” he continued.
He added that three hotels in Manali are now undergoing renovations. “In addition, approximately Rs 20 crore will be spent on Hotel Hamir and Rs 35 crore on the Jwalaji in Jwalamukhi,” Bali stated.
He also mentioned that the establishment of a corporate 24-hour call center has been approved.
