DIAL & MoCA Introduce Air Suvidha 2.0 Screening Portal.
In response to the ongoing Ebola outbreak, the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) have launched AIR SUVIDHA 2.0, an upgraded contactless Passenger Health Self-Declaration Portal, to improve public health surveillance at India’s international points of entry.
At https://airsuvidha.civilaviation.gov.in/, the AIR SUVIDHA 2.0 portal is currently operational. International visitors can expedite health screening and immigration clearance upon arrival by filling out the required Self-Declaration Form (SDF) up to 24 hours prior to their arrival in India.
The launch comes after the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the Ebola/Bundibugyo virus disease outbreak in Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) on May 17, 2026, in accordance with the 2005 International Health Regulations (IHR). Bundibugyo viral disease (BVD) has been established as the cause of the current outbreak, and South Sudan and other nearby nations are considered high-risk for transmission.
AIR SUVIDHA 2.0, which was created in partnership with the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare’s Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), allows foreign travellers to complete a required online Health Self-Declaration prior to immigration clearance.
Authorities may quickly identify and refer at-risk travellers while preserving a smooth, frictionless arrival procedure thanks to the self-declaration, which records passengers’ 21-day trip history, exposure history, and any associated symptoms.
The Ministry claims that the improved portal makes it easier to share passenger data in real time with the Bureau of Immigration, the Airport Health Officer, the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP), and State Surveillance Officers, improving coordination and bolstering disease surveillance at airports.
It is recommended that travellers fill out the Air Suvidha Self-Declaration Form (SDF) either online or prior to boarding their aircraft. They will simply need to show the downloaded SDF at the immigration or international travel health desk upon arrival in India to expedite processing.
