United to Launch Nonstop Flights to Cartagena.
United declared that on December 17, 2026, it will begin offering new nonstop service to Cartagena, Colombia (CTG) from Houston Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD).
Beginning with four flights each week in the winter, these new flights will run from both hubs throughout the year. On this route, United will operate a Boeing 737, offering passengers complimentary Starlink Wi-Fi for MileagePlus members, larger overhead bins with space for everyone’s roll-aboard luggage, and seatback screens with Bluetooth connectivity in every seat.
Patrick Quayle, Senior Vice President of Network Planning and Global Alliances, United Airlines stated, “Our new service to Cartagena reflects our continued investment in the country and commitment to offering customers new and distinctive travel experiences. Colombia has been an important part of United’s Latin America network for more than 30 years. As our third destination in Colombia, Cartagena complements our service to Bogota and Medellín, giving our customers access to a different side of the country and making it easier for travellers from North America to experience one of the most iconic destinations in the Caribbean.”

With nonstop flights to 57 destinations from its hub in Houston and 18 from Dulles, United has more flights to Latin America than any other airline in Texas and the Washington, D.C. region. From United’s hubs in Houston and Washington, D.C., the new routes will link Cartagena to over 70 locations throughout the United States.
