Over 4.8 lakh people are transported throughout regional India by FLY91.
Since its first flight in March 2024, FLY91 has completed two years of commercial operations, carrying 4,81,802 passengers around India’s developing regional aviation destinations. With 9,569 trips and 12,896 flying hours over the last two years, the airline has established a network that links underserved locations with regional aviation hubs.
On March 18, 2024, FLY91’s first commercial flight took off from Manohar International Airport in Goa toward Bengaluru. With plans to expand to 15 stations, the airline presently serves nine destinations, including Goa, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kochi, Sindhudurg, Solapur, Agatti, and Jalgaon. Constructed as a pure-play regional airline, the airline uses ATR 72-600 aircraft that are ideal for efficient regional operations and short-haul industries.
The two-year milestone, according to FLY91’s founder, managing director, and CEO Manoj Chacko, “illustrates the increasing significance of regional aviation in linking India’s smaller cities. For our staff and partners, finishing two years of operations is a significant milestone. When we first started out, our goal was very clear. we wanted to connect neglected cities so that individuals who frequently had few options could travel more easily and quickly. Passengers throughout our network have responded in a very positive way. Our priorities will continue to be measured growth, disciplined expansion, operational dependability, and creating a regional airline that communities can rely on as we expand,” he stated.
According to the airline, there is a lot of demand for flights that connect developing industrial areas with more established economic centers. The Jalgaon Pune corridor has been one of the busiest, with a significant portion of the network’s return users.
In the future, FLY91 intends to enhance connectivity between the regional centers of south and central India while extending services to Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Hubballi, Nanded, Dabolim, and Indore.
