Maharashtra Tourism to Host Koyna Daulat Dongri Festival 2026 in Satara.
The “Koyna Daulat Dongri Festival 2026” will be organised by Maharashtra Tourism in association with the District Administration in Satara and the Regional Tourism Directorate in Pune. From April 2 to April 6, 2026, the festival will take place in Patan, Satara.
The festival is anticipated to significantly increase tourism in the region, thus bolstering the local economy, according to Shambhuraj Desai, Minister of Tourism, Government of Maharashtra. “This initiative will help showcase the region’s cultural richness, natural beauty, and adventure tourism opportunities to a wider audience,” he said. In order to make the celebration a big success, he also urged all citizens, farmers, visitors, and business owners to attend in large numbers.
The festival will begin with a Shahiri Powada event on April 2. A Bhajani Mandal event is planned for April 3. There will be an exciting Brass Band concert on April 4 and the Lavani Festival on April 5. In addition to these cultural events, visitors will have the opportunity to engage in a range of leisure pursuits, such as fun fairs, boating, horseback riding, paragliding, and camel safaris.
The funfair, weapons display, electric buggy ride, funfair procession, agricultural exhibition, cuisine festival and animal and bird displays are some of the event’s other attractions. Additionally, women’s self-help groups will have dedicated exhibition spaces. Women will be able to display and sell their goods in these spaces.
The festival will also feature health and wellness tourist activities like yoga, meditation, and Ayurvedic treatments. Adventure seekers can anticipate thrilling pursuits including rock climbing, trekking, jet skiing, paragliding, paramotoring, and seaplane adventures.
A number of well-known figures from the entertainment sector will also be present at the festival. The Koyna Daulat Dongri Festival in 2026 will offer visitors a vibrant look at the region’s customs, culture, and tourism potential. Folk art, traditional cultural programs, and special performances by well-known artists will all be part of the festival schedule. There will also be agritourism events that provide visitors a firsthand look at rural tourism.
The event will also feature educational seminars on women’s empowerment, youth tourism engagement, and adventure tourism activities in accordance with the state government’s tourism policy. During the event, there will be special history tours to the Sahyadris’ mediaeval forts, visits to picturesque locations, and historical places including ancient temples.
During the festival, there will be a special familiarisation trip for travel agencies, tour operators, social media influencers, and other tourism stakeholders.
