Fly91 and ATR ink a new global maintenance agreement for eight years.

ATR and Fly91 have strengthened their partnership since the airline’s 2024 launch with the signing of an eight year Global Maintenance Agreement (GMA). The extended arrangement is intended to support Fly91’s next phase of expansion as the airline grows its fleet. Currently, Fly91 runs four ATR 72-600s, with two more scheduled to arrive in early 2026.

Fly91 has been a GMA customer since May 2024, profiting from a full package of support services, including Lease Stock, Standard Exchange and Repair of Line Replaceable Units (LRUs), as well as propeller availability and maintenance services. In order to ensure long-term cost visibility and operational performance as its fleet grows, the airline has chosen to amend the scope of its agreement after nearly two years of operation and with aircraft utilisation reaching 2,500 flight hours annually.

Manoj Chacko, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Fly91, said: “The last 22 months of operations has demonstrated the importance of having a dependable maintenance partner. Despite global supply chain constraints, ATR’s GMA has been crucial in maintaining the dependability of our aircraft’s flight. The visibility the GMA offers on future maintenance expenses is crucial for us as a cost-conscious and lean airline. In our setting, maintaining the aircraft to the highest standards is just as important as flying the appropriate aircraft in order to provide the dependable service that our passengers anticipate.”

“As the aircraft manufacturer, ATR is uniquely positioned to provide comprehensive maintenance solutions that ensure the highest levels of fleet availability, operational reliability and long‑term sustainability for operators. The Global Maintenance Agreement offers this value consistently, while simultaneously delivering an ambitious airline like Fly91 the key benefit of cost visibility and control needed to scale operations smoothly. We are happy to be alongside them as their network and fleet continue to grow,” added Stefano Marazzani, Senior Vice President Customer Support and Services of ATR.
