PATA-ATTIA relationship fosters Asia-Pacific tourism and technology collaboration.

In order to improve cooperation at the nexus of travel, tourism, and technology throughout the Asia Pacific region, the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) and the Asia Travel Technology Industry Association (ATTIA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

In an increasingly digital tourism environment, the agreement provides a framework for both groups to collaborate in order to assist industry development, encourage innovation, and improve policy discourse.

“ATTIA’s role in shaping policy to support the evolving intersection of tourism and technology is highly commendable,” stated Noor Ahmad Hamid, CEO of PATA. This collaboration is a perfect fit because their initiatives closely match PATA’s dedication to promoting a more resilient and sustainable tourist ecosystem.

“Our intersecting networks have also played a key role in bringing us together, motivating us to jointly deliver greater value to the wider sector,” he continued. I’m excited to work with ATTIA to promote a more inventive, connected, and resilient sector in Asia Pacific.

“PATA’s reach and capacity to unite destinations, governments, and the broader tourism industry are remarkable. As travel continues to change, this partnership can help translate industry experience into useful dialogue and more informed policymaking by combining that network with ATTIA’s policy expertise and the viewpoints of top travel technology companies,” according to Mark Chan, Managing Director of ATTIA.

In accordance with the agreement, PATA and ATTIA will work together in a number of important areas, such as events and knowledge exchange, which will include chances for speaking engagements and cross-participation as well as mutual support for conferences, webinars, and industry activities. Second, marketing and communications, which will involve collaboratively promoting projects, exchanging insights on tourism, and amplifying each other’s efforts via digital platforms and communication channels. Third, industry involvement and lobbying to improve policy and innovation discussions in order to promote a more interconnected, resilient, and forward-thinking tourist business.

Through these cooperative initiatives, both organisations underline their shared dedication to promoting the digital innovation and sustainable expansion of the travel and tourism sector in Asia Pacific.

According to PATA, the MOU also lays the groundwork for future collaboration, with both sides indicating a willingness to grow cooperative projects and prolong the partnership past its original duration.
