IHG hires Leanne Harwood as SVP, Global Sales.

Leanne Harwood has been named Senior Vice President (SVP), Global Sales at IHG Hotels and Resorts. Harwood, who is based in Atlanta, will be in charge of the company’s foreign customer interaction, performance, and worldwide sales strategy.

Harwood has worked in the hotel sector for more than 30 years, including more than 20 years with IHG. Her most recent role was that of Senior Vise President and Managing Director, Luxury, Lifestyle and Managed Hotels, Americas, which she had been in since March 2024. In this capacity, she oversaw the performance and operations of IHG’s portfolio of premium and lifestyle hotels throughout the area.

Harwood has managed teams and business operations in a variety of markets during her time with IHG, holding leadership roles in sales, commercial, and operations departments throughout Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Japan, and Australasia.

In her new position, she will oversee IHG’s Global Sales division, concentrating on enhancing client relations and promoting expansion in the corporate, group, meetings, and events sectors globally.
