Rahul Bhatia took over as IndiGo’s interim CEO after Pieter Elbers’ resignation.

Pieter Elbers will leave his position as Chief Executive Officer of InterGlobe Aviation Limited, the parent company of IndiGo, effective immediately. The Board of Directors thanked Elbers for his service and commitment to the airline and wished him well in his future pursuits.

Until the firm names a new CEO, Rahul Bhatia, Managing Director of IndiGo, will be in charge of running the airline’s operations. According to the airline, a new leadership announcement is anticipated soon.

“Rahul returns to assume management of the airline’s affairs to strengthen the Company’s Culture, reinforce Operational Excellence, and deepen its commitment to delivering exceptional service of care, reliability, and professionalism to its customers,” stated Vikram Singh Mehta, Chairman of the Board, in response to the development.
