Visakhapatnam gets its first Hilton Garden Inn.

Hilton and BVM Energy and Residency Private Limited, a Kapil Group firm, have partnered to establish the Hilton Garden Inn Visakhapatnam Yendada World Trade Center (WTC). The 360-key hotel, which is slated to open in 2032, will signify Hilton’s arrival in Visakhapatnam and increase its footprint in Andhra Pradesh.
The hotel will be a part of the 10-acre mixed-use World Trade Center Visakhapatnam development in Yendada, which is being built by a Kapil Group firm. In addition to meeting demand from the WTC and the larger commercial ecosystem, the property is positioned to serve the city’s expanding business and leisure sectors.
Zubin Saxena, Senior Vise President and Regional Head, South Asia, Hilton stated, “Our entry into Visakhapatnam marks a meaningful step in Hilton’s growth journey. With an expanding pipeline of Hilton Garden Inn hotels around the state, Andhra Pradesh plays a significant role in that approach. Our first hotel in Visakhapatnam demonstrates our faith in the city’s long-term potential as a travel destination and bolsters our position in one of the state’s most significant commercial hubs.”
When the Hilton Garden Inn Visakhapatnam Yendada WTC is finished, it will have 360 guest rooms, an all-day dining restaurant, a rooftop bar, a lobby lounge and bar, fitness centers and an indoor/outdoor swimming pool.
Additionally, the hotel will have 14,300 square feet of conference and event space, including a boardroom, breakout rooms, and a ballroom. In addition to meeting the increasing MICE demand related to the WTC construction and the adjacent business ecosystem, the facilities will accommodate conferences, corporate meetings, events, and social gatherings.
While maintaining the brand’s essential design and service proposition, Hilton Garden Inn’s offerings in India have been modified to include more conference and event spaces, more food and beverage options, and room service as standard.
Clarence Tan, Senior Vise President, Development, Asia Pacific, Hilton stated, “With 11 trading Hilton Garden Inn hotels in India, this hotel adds to a pipeline of 13 others across the country that will serve high-growth leisure and business markets as demand for travel continues to grow beyond major metropolitan centers. Hotels in cities like Vishakhapatnam provide our clients with additional lodging options in increasingly important locations.”
“With its strong hospitality expertise, international standards, and focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences, Hilton is an ideal partner to shape our vision to address Visakhapatnam’s growing business ecosystem while offering a high-quality hospitality experience for business and leisure travellers,” stated Vaddanapu Krishnaiah, managing director of BVM Energy and Residency (Kapil Group).
In addition to the company’s planned Hilton Garden Inn properties in Tirupati and Mantralayam, the deal expands Hilton’s development pipeline in Andhra Pradesh.
