Sumit Ghosh appointed Associate Vice President – Sales at Cygnett Hotels & Resorts.

As the hospitality firm expands operations throughout several Indian regions, Cygnett Hotels and Resorts has strengthened its senior leadership by appointing Sumit Ghosh as Associate Vice President Sales.

He will oversee the company’s sales strategy, bolster important relationships and promote revenue development throughout the portfolio in his new position. His responsibilities would include market development, major account management, corporate sales, and aligning Cygnett’s growth ambitions with sales plans. He would collaborate closely with the company’s important figures and its asset partners.

In addition to having over 24 years of experience in the hotel sector, Ghosh has significant knowledge in revenue, business development, and sales leadership positions in well known hotel chains. He holds a BA in International Hospitality Management from Queen Margaret University in Scotland, a Diploma in Hotel Management from IIHM in Kolkata, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Management (PGDBA) from SCDL Symbiosis in Pune.

Ghosh worked for some of the most prominent hotel chains prior to Cygnett Hotels & Resorts, such as the Wyndham Hotel Group, Royal Orchid Hotels, Sarovar Hotels & Resorts, Jaypee Hotels, Best Western Premier, and Sunday Hotels. In the past, he has contributed to business restructuring, corporate alliances, and top line business growth by working with a variety of hotel groups in both metropolitan areas and outlying locations.

Ghosh will be a key member of the Cygnett executive team, helping to build the company’s expanding product line, training teams, and developing scaled up sales strategies. Cygnett Hotels & Resorts is pushing forward with expansion in the mid market and value segments of the hotel industry at the time of this appointment.

The company is growing through both a market driven selling strategy and a brand driven strategy as it adds new properties throughout India.
