Air India moves its flight operations from Ahmedabad to Terminal 2.

With effect from March 29, 2026, all domestic flights operated by Air India at Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport will henceforth operate out of Terminal 1 and into Terminal 2.
The airline’s 210 weekly domestic flights to and from Ahmedabad are covered by the relocation; however, Terminal 2 is already the location of the airline’s international flights that depart and arrive in Ahmedabad.
Since March 29, Terminal 2 has become the sole location for all Air India arrivals and departures.
This change is a part of the airline’s continuous efforts to improve travellers’ experiences at the airport in Ahmedabad. With 52 check-in counters, self-baggage drop kiosks, DigiYatra kiosks, 17 departure immigration counters, 22 arrival immigration counters, 8 Fast Track Immigration e-gates at departures and arrivals, and a variety of retail and F&B options, Terminal 2, which spans 49,000 square meters of built-up area, offers a greatly improved passenger experience.
