Starting on June 16, Akasa Air will link NIA with two Indian cities.

An important milestone in Akasa Air‘s expansion path will be reached when it begins operations from Noida International Airport (NIA), which will directly connect it with two important Indian cities. The airline will increase access to the National Capital Region (NCR) by starting daily direct flights from Noida International Airport to Bengaluru and Navi Mumbai on June 16, 2026.

Additionally, the airline will run a cutting-edge MRO facility on airport property, providing cutting-edge MRO services, supporting a wide range of aircraft maintenance tasks, and guaranteeing high standards of operational effectiveness and safety.

The expansion highlights the airline’s forward-thinking network strategy, which is in step with India’s quickly changing aviation infrastructure. Noida International Airport, one of India’s newest greenfield airports, has the potential to significantly improve regional accessibility, decongest the Delhi NCR airspace, and spur economic growth in western Uttar Pradesh and the larger NCR.

“Capacity creation at the right infrastructure nodes will be key to sustaining growth as India’s aviation market expands,” stated Anand Srinivasan, co-founder and chief commercial officer. Noida International Airport will revolutionise access to NCR with its state-of-the-art facilities, multimodal connectivity, and long-term capacity potential.

Strong origin-destination demand and possibilities for onwards connectivity serve as the foundation for daily direct connectivity with Bengaluru and Navi Mumbai. Srinivasan continued, “We see Noida International Airport developing into a crucial pillar of our network architecture over time, supporting both point-to-point traffic and future connectivity flows while meaningfully contributing to our long-term growth.”

Building scale at high-potential aviation hubs and improving air travel accessibility are the main goals of Akasa Air’s long-term network and expansion strategy, which is in line with its entry into this airport. Over time, the airline will increase both internal and international connectivity by steadily fortifying its network from Noida International Airport.
