In Zanzibar, RIU opens its first Elite Club hotel, Riu Palace Swahili.

Riu Palace Swahili, a new gem in the Indian Ocean, has opened thanks to RIU Hotels and Resorts. This five-star hotel is the chain’s third establishment in Tanzania and is situated in the upscale neighbourhood of Nungwi, north of Zanzibar. The grownups “The launch of the elite” Elite Club service and the much-anticipated RIU Party launching event, which will take place every week at Riu Jambo after this opening, are two major milestones for the firm in this region, elevating the bar for luxury and pleasure.
The 505 rooms of Riu Palace Swahili are notable for their sleek and contemporary design. With all the conveniences required to provide a first-rate stay in keeping with the standards of the Riu Palace collection, they have all been built to provide the highest level of comfort.
RIU’s luxury offerings in the area are further enhanced by its special Elite Club service. Of the 76 rooms in this region, 24 have the greatest views of the sea, and 52 have private pools. Premium perks for members of the Elite Club include access to the Elite Club Lounge with branded drinks, a separate check-in area, aromatherapy products in their room, the Elite Club Restaurant, and a private beachside area with Balinese beds.
RIU launches RIU Party in Tanzania with the opening of Riu Palace Swahili, which is accessible to visitors from the chain’s three hotels on the island. Every Friday, these festivities will be held at Riu Jambo.
The hotel provides the well-known 24-hour All Inclusive service, which is consistent with the standards of the Riu Palace chain. One of the main features of this brand-new hotel is its excellent cuisine, which is served on spacious terraces that allow visitors to take in the surroundings while dining. The resort’s speciality restaurants include the Mediterranean Helios, the Italian Duomo, the sophisticated Krystal for fusion food, and a traditional steakhouse in addition to the main Karibu restaurant. The Pepe’s Food fast-food kiosk completes the offer.
Additionally, the hotel features six bars with distinct themes: the Aquatic Madafu, the Masai Plaza bar, the Lounge Bar, the Daiquiri bar, the Konyagi pool bar, and the Capuchino cake/ice cream shop. Additionally, the hotel features two stunning infinity pools that are artistically crafted to blend in with Nungwi’s blue seas.
Every day, Riu Palace Swahili hosts evening performances featuring live music in addition to a comprehensive daily program of activities. Renova Spa offers a variety of treatments, a steam room, and a tranquil swimming pool for those who value their well-being. Because of its position, visitors may also enjoy water sports like kayaking and stand-up paddle surfing at nearby Riu Jambo, ensuring an exciting stay.
RIU Hotels & Resorts has been operating in Zanzibar since 2018 and currently has three hotels there: Riu Palace Swahili, Riu Palace Zanzibar, and Riu Jambo. This new establishment further solidifies the chain’s dedication to the island. By expanding its quality and complementary offerings in the Nungwi region, RIU has strengthened its position in one of the most potent and alluring travel destinations on the African continent.
