Visit Malaysia Carnival 2026 in New Delhi Showcases Malaysian Culture and Tourism.
On April 4, the High Commission of Malaysia held the Visit Malaysia Carnival 2026 at its Chanakyapuri location, which brought together members of the travel industry, the diplomatic corps, and the Indian community at large.
The event, which was organised in conjunction with Visit Malaysia Year 2026, provided a stage for showcasing Malaysia’s culinary customs, cultural diversity, and tourism attractions. It also demonstrated the growing cooperation between India and Malaysia in the tourism and related industries
Cultural performances, live cooking demonstrations, and interactive exhibits covering business, education, and tourism were all part of the funfair. Additionally, visitors were given an experiential introduction to the region through the consumption of Malaysian food and tropical vegetables.
According to Malaysia’s High Commissioner in India, Dato’ Muzafar Shah Mustafa, the project is a reflection of the two nations’ close interpersonal relationships. “We want to bring Malaysia closer to our friends in India and invite them to explore the destination during Visit Malaysia Year 2026 through culture, cuisine, and shared experiences,” he stated.
The event also sought to establish Malaysia as a top tourism destination for Indians, according to Ahmad Johanif Mohd Ali, Director, Tourism Malaysia, New Delhi. “We look forward to welcoming more Indian visitors to experience Malaysia’s nature, islands, shopping, cuisine, and multicultural appeal with Visit Malaysia Year 2026,” he stated.
Key industry participants, including airline partners like Malaysia Airlines and Batik Air Malaysia, attended the event as well, highlighting the significance of connectivity in fostering tourism growth.
The significant engagement and turnout demonstrated how Indian tourists are becoming more interested in Malaysia as both nations continue to expand their economic and tourism-related ties.
