Nikhil Chandra is named general manager of Novotel Ahmedabad.
Nikhil Chandra has been appointed General Manager of Novotel Ahmedabad, bolstering the hotel’s leadership as it continues to grow in the business, leisure, and MICE sectors.
With senior positions at globally renowned companies like Accor, Hilton, InterContinental Hotels Group, Radisson Hotel Group, and The Lalit Group, Chandra has more than 20 years of expertise in the hospitality sector. Throughout his career, he has placed a high priority on revenue optimisation, strategic business growth, and operational excellence.
Chandra guided Grand Mercure Ahmedabad GIFT City through a phase of strategic expansion and consolidation while he was General Manager prior to this assignment. He concentrated on boosting revenue performance, increasing operational effectiveness, expanding the hotel’s food and beverage positioning, and improving yield management techniques during his time there.
Chandra has held executive positions at Crowne Plaza Delhi Mayur Vihar, DoubleTree by Hilton Gurgaon, and The Lalit Grand Palace Srinagar. In these capacities, he significantly improved audit performance, strengthened guest engagement measures, improved banquet and event operations, and upheld solid ties with ownership and regulatory bodies.
As a General Manager certified by IHG’s Career Insight-GM Potential Program, Chandra is known for promoting revenue management excellence, upholding brand standards, and cultivating cooperative team cultures.
Chandra will concentrate on strengthening the hotel’s market leadership in the corporate, MICE, and social segments in his new position at Novotel Ahmedabad. developing income diversification, improving digital and direct booking channels, raising service delivery standards, developing stakeholder partnerships, and integrating sustainable operational methods in accordance with Accor’s global vision are among his strategic priorities.
