Namaste India Showcase, IATO’s tri-city European tour, comes to an end.

In order to interact directly with international travel markets, the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) ended its inaugural international roadshow, IATO Namaste India Showcase, which ran from March 6–11, 2026. With the successful completion of its engagements in Frankfurt, Paris, and Amsterdam, the multi-city European roadshow strengthened tourism linkages and promoted meaningful interaction between Indian tourism stakeholders and the European travel and tourism industry.

The roadshow was uniquely partnered with Air India and backed by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, and Indian missions in each country. Following ITB Berlin, the tri-city effort was created to directly engage major European travel agencies and tour operators in order to promote India’s tourism attractions.

In order to facilitate deeper destination awareness and fortify business links with partners who actively promote India in their individual markets, the showcase established a targeted B2B platform for Indian tourism stakeholders to engage with travel professionals throughout the three cities. Throughout the roadshow, travel experts had conversations about changing traveller tastes, luxury travel, cultural immersion, experience itineraries, and wellness tourism, all of which continue to be popular with European tourists.

The showcase’s emphasis on India’s varied tourism experiences from heritage circuits and boutique hospitality to opulent trips like the renowned Maharajas’ Express, represented by Ebix Travels was one of its highlights. This attracted a lot of interest from travel industry professionals who wanted to increase their clients’ access to premium offerings.

IATO President Ravi Gosain stated, “Europe continues to be an important source market for India, and initiatives like the Namaste India Showcase allow us to build meaningful relationships with travel professionals who actively promote India as a destination. We were able to demonstrate the breadth and depth of India’s tourism experiences through this tri-city engagement, all the while fortifying our partnerships with important travel partners in these regions. Travellers from Europe are becoming more interested in India, as seen by the good response from the travel industry.”

Additionally, Indian diplomatic offices participated in and supported the roadshow, strengthening the cooperative effort to market India as a top travel destination for tourists from other countries. Travel professionals from Europe were very eager to learn more about India’s tourism offerings and create new itineraries that would appeal to their markets, as seen by the participation in all three cities.

The tri-city showcase’s successful conclusion represents a significant advancement in IATO’s ongoing efforts to broaden India’s tourism reach internationally and foster closer relationships between Indian tourism stakeholders and global travel trade communities.

Gosain expressed gratitude to the Ministry, Government, and the Indian Embassy, High Commission of Frankfurt, Paris, and the Netherlands for their support in helping IATO organise the Roadshows. He also expressed gratitude to Kumar Tuhin, the Indian Ambassador to the Netherlands, and Shuchita Kishore, the Indian Consul General in Frankfurt, Germany, for attending the event in their respective cities.
