Air India Group to Resume Jeddah and Muscat Flights, Add UAE Services.
In light of the changing circumstances in West Asia, Air India and Air India Express have declared that they will resume their regular flights to and from Jeddah and Muscat on March 10, 2026, as airspace over Saudi Arabia and Oman remains available.
On the same day, Air India Express will run 14 flights to and from Muscat and the two carriers will operate 14 flights to and from Jeddah.
Air India Express will run one round-trip service each from Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mangaluru, and Kozhikode to Jeddah, while Air India will run one round-trip service from Delhi and two round-trip services from Mumbai.
In order to maintain connectivity between India and Oman, Air India Express would run its planned services for Muscat with one round-trip each from Delhi, Kannur, Kochi, Mumbai, Thiruvananthapuram, and Tiruchirappalli.
More sporadic flights to the United Arab Emirates
Subject to slot availability and operational conditions at the individual airports, Air India and Air India Express would run 32 ad hoc, non-scheduled flights between India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on March 10 in addition to the scheduled services. With the required clearances from the local and Indian regulatory bodies, these services have been arranged.
Ten unscheduled flights, comprising two round-trip flights from Delhi and three round-trip flights from Mumbai, will be operated by Air India to and from Dubai. Air India Express will run one round-trip flight from Bengaluru and Mumbai to Dubai.
In addition, Air India Express will run eighteen additional non-scheduled flights to other UAE emirates, such as one round-trip each to Abu Dhabi from Bengaluru and Mumbai, one round-trip each to Sharjah from Bengaluru and Mumbai, and two round-trips from Mumbai to Ras Al Khaimah from Delhi, Bengaluru, and Kochi.
Other West Asian services are temporarily suspended
The Air India Group has also declared that its scheduled operations to and from other destinations in West Asia will remain cancelled till March 13, 2026.
Travellers impacted by these cancellations may choose to receive a complete refund or rebook their trip for a later date at no additional cost. Passengers on Air India can use the airline’s website to make rebooking or cancellation requests, or they can call the customer service hotline, which is open around-the-clock.
Additionally, travellers from the United Arab Emirates will be able to rebook their tickets for Air India Express’s additional commercial flights from any UAE station to any destination in India at no additional cost.
Passengers on a cancelled Dubai–Jaipur service, for instance, can transfer their reservation to a Ras Al Khaimah–Delhi trip at no additional cost.
Through the airline’s AI-powered digital assistant Tia, which is accessible on WhatsApp, customers of Air India Express can also reschedule their trips.
