In 3.5 years, Akasa Air has carried 25 million passengers.
After more than 42 months (3.5 years) of operation, Akasa Air has served more over 25 million passengers, making it the fastest Indian airline to do so. This accomplishment highlights the airline’s robust growth trajectory and its rise to prominence in India’s changing aviation market as a reliable and trustworthy carrier.

Akasa Air now has 35 aircraft in its fleet, five of which are outfitted with Safran Z200 seats, a cutting-edge seating option intended to improve passenger comfort. To meet the demands of contemporary travellers, these seats have a 4-inch recline, ergonomically shaped backrests, enhanced padding, and built-in USB-C and USB-A connections.
Passengers continue to find great resonance in the airline’s customer-centric activities. Since its introduction in November 2022, more than 10,000 pets have been able to travel thanks to its pet travel service, Pets on Akasa. Over 6.5 million meals have been served by the airline’s onboard dining service, Café Akasa.
The airline has demonstrated its commitment to fulfilling India’s fast growing demand for air travel by placing a firm order for 226 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, with 191 more aircraft planned for delivery over the next six years.
