Air India and Singapore Airlines (SIA) entered into a commercial cooperation framework agreement today, laying the foundation for a stronger strategic partnership through a future joint business agreement.
The partnership is aimed at boosting connectivity between India and Singapore, with potential expansion to additional regions, to bring greater choice and convenience to customers of both carriers.
Subject to regulatory clearances and the finalisation of definitive joint business agreements, together we intend to introduce enhanced products and services, coordinate flight schedules, enable seamless transfers across geographies, expand route choices, and enable customers to easily book integrated itineraries across both networks. We will also look to progressively enhance privileges beyond the current Star Alliance benefits for members of Air India’s Maharaja Club and SIA’s KrisFlyer frequent flyer programmes.
