Saudi Tourism Ministry named WTM Spotlight Riyadh’s Strategic Partner.

The Ministry of Tourism of Saudi Arabia has been named a Strategic Partner by WTM Spotlight Riyadh for the event’s first edition, which will be held at the Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Center (RFECC) on September 8–10, 2026.

The alliance aims to enhance international cooperation, the Kingdom’s broader tourism goals under Saudi Vision 2030, and the expansion of tourism.

WTM Spotlight Riyadh will bring together travel destinations, tourist authorities, hospitality providers, airlines, travel technology companies, investors, customers, and industry experts in order to link foreign travel companies with Saudi Arabia’s tourism sector.

International buyers and travel and tourism experts will also be present at the first event, which will serve as a platform for partnerships and commercial development within the Kingdom’s growing tourist industry.

The event, which is organised as a B2B2C platform, will help Saudi Arabia achieve its goals for inbound tourism while giving foreign travel companies access to the Kingdom’s outbound travel market.

A major part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 economic diversification goal is tourism. By the end of the decade, the Kingdom hopes to have 150 million visitors from both local and foreign countries per year, with tourism estimated to contribute 10% of GDP.

The collaboration with WTM Spotlight Riyadh is a component of initiatives to improve relations with the global travel industry, promote investment, and create alliances that benefit the tourism industry.

Danielle Curtis, Regional Portfolio Director, UAE, RX stated, “Our strategic partnership with the Ministry of Tourism is a defining moment for the inaugural WTM Spotlight Riyadh and reflects the Kingdom’s ambition to play an even greater role in shaping the future of global tourism. We are honoured to be collaborating with the Ministry to develop an event that supports Saudi Arabia’s long-term tourism goals and brings together decision-makers from the global travel sector.”

“WTM Spotlight Riyadh has been designed to create meaningful business connections, encourage the exchange of ideas, and provide international travel professionals with direct access to one of the most exciting tourism markets in the world. We are creating an event with the Ministry that captures the scope and aspirations of Saudi Arabia’s tourism revolution,” she continued.

In addition to supporting the Kingdom’s larger tourism goals under Vision 2030, the first WTM Spotlight Riyadh will concentrate on fostering commercial ties, investment, and cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the global travel sector.
