The conference, which will take place at the Eros Hotel in New Delhi on May 30, 2026, will bring together leaders in the hotel sector and housekeeping experts from all across India for a day of concentrated conversation, education, and industry exchange.
Keepers of standards
The subject for 2026, Stewards of Standards, emphasises how housekeeping executives’ roles as stewards of quality, safety, and consistency are constantly changing. In addition to being clean, housekeeping is now essential to maintaining brand promise, earning the trust of visitors, safeguarding property, and integrating sustainable practices into day to day operations.
In the field of housekeeping, leadership in both art and science
The dual character of the role is reflected in the convention title, Leadership in the Art and Science of Housekeeping. The “science” emphasises systems, hygienic practices, technology adoption, and performance measures, whilst the “art” stands for attention to detail, aesthetics, and guest-centric care. When taken as a whole, the emphasis highlights housekeeping’s strategic impact on operational effectiveness and service quality.
Take care of, make, and raise
Care, Create, and Elevate serve as the program’s three main influences. These pillars highlight accountability to people and the environment, foster innovation and more intelligent procedures, and support ongoing development and career advancement. When taken as a whole, they establish housekeeping executives as champions of quality in contemporary hospitality.
The statement comes after the 7ᵗʰ National Housekeepers Convention, which was held in Bengaluru on May 17, 2025, was a great success. Over 220 attendees, including directors of rooms, operations heads, executive housekeepers, and solution providers, attended the event. Talent development, operational effectiveness, sustainable housekeeping, and technology integration were the main topics of discussion.
Strategic keynotes on workforce empowerment, case studies from top hotel chains, solution displays showcasing automation and environmentally friendly innovations, and a focus on career routes for housekeeping staff were some of the 2025 edition’s highlights.
The 2026 convention will build on this momentum by showcasing new trends in housekeeping and facilities management, including AI-assisted workflows, sustainability benchmarks, workforce training frameworks, digital quality assurance, and process excellence.
Jayashree Nagaraj, Founder President and Chairperson of PHA, commented on the announcement, stating that the previous edition made it quite clear that housekeeping was becoming increasingly strategic. She said that by providing useful insights and workable ideas that are in line with contemporary operating realities, the New Delhi conference would enhance industry conversation.
The agenda is being curated to cover innovation, sustainability, talent development, and technologies that improve housekeeping performance across hotel sectors, according to Bharti Singh Kalappa, Founder Member, National Vice President, and VP Operations, PHA North Chapter.
More than 300 housekeeping experts, operations executives, procurement heads, hospitality instructors, and top suppliers are anticipated to attend the 8ᵗ¹ National Housekeepers Convention, strengthening PHA’s position in raising industry standards and fostering professional growth.
